Since 2014, I have sculpted most of my small ceramic works using low-fire clay at a nearby senior center. Drawing on my theatrical background and a long-standing interest in Greek and Roman theatre, I have been particularly interested in masks and mythic themes. Most of these low-fire works are small, 8 to 9 inches tall, and either glazed or painted.
In Fall 2023, at the Art Students League, I began sculpting from live models and creating plaster casts, such as Portrait of a Woman (2024).
